Wrapping paper can be utilized in various creative ways.

Using decorative gift wrapping is a thoughtful way of adding character to any present. But wrapping presents is not the only way to utilize gifting accessories. From framing it as wall art to binding notebooks, there are numerous creative ways to use and repurpose wrapping paper.

Wrapping Paper as Wall Art

Decorative wrapping paper can be too beautiful to use it once and toss it away. Surpassing its intended use, many of our customers purchase our gift wrapping to frame it and decorate their walls with its intricate motifs and patterns.

The wrapping paper from Manuela Menzi Studio is distinguished for a very special reason. Instead of featuring repeated motifs and patterns on a glossy surface, it showcases original collage designs. Each design incorporates multiple levels of stand-alone elements that, when combined together, have a story to tell. The matte finish of our paper enhances the collage’s details and diminishes glare and reflections in bright environments. For a complete glare-free view of the artwork, we recommend opting for museum glass framing.

Journaling & Scrapbooking

Manuela Menzi Studio’s wrapping paper is often used in writing activities, such as scrapbooking, and journaling. Each wrapping paper has a story to tell, expressed by composing stand-alone motifs and patterns into a visual “whole”. That is why some of our customers use our designs to add symbolic images to their journals and scrapbooks. They are meant to express their mood, thoughts, and emotions; or they can signal to an old memory that is hard to describe through words.

Creative Projects & Mood Boards

From mood boards to vision boards, our premium wrapping paper can decorate various creative projects. Our customers often consist of art and fashion students who include our collages in their mood boards that set the inspiration for their next project. Others select collage designs to complete their yearly vision board; a panel where they add all their goals and aspirations for the year to come.

Binding Books and Notebooks

One of the most creative ways of using wrapping paper is in the form of book binding. Covering books and notebooks with decorative paper is a simple yet elegant way of personalising stationery.

To successfully bind a book, make sure to clean its cover to remove dust and oils. Lay the book open on a flat surface and measure how much wrapping paper you would need to wrap around the front, spine, and back; add 2 to 3 cm on all sides for folding. Cut the wrapping paper according to the measurements and make sure that the key collage motifs are positioned at the front and are not cut in half. You can add glue or a double-sided adhesive tape to bind the paper to the book or notebook cover.

Wrapping Paper as Flower Wrap

A beautiful and elegant way of arranging a bouquet is with the use of a decorative flower wrap. Our wrapping paper, thanks to its sturdy quality, is widely used as a flower wrap, complementing different types of bouquets with its intricate designs.

To wrap your bouquet, lay the wrapping paper from Manuela Menzi Studio on a clean surface with the collage design facing down. Start arranging the flowers diagonally, and once you are satisfied with the colour arrangement, gently fold one corner over the stems. Bring the opposite side around, encasing the bouquet, and secure the paper with a ribbon or a piece of twine that complements the rest of the colours. Leaving parts of the stems visible adds an elegant and effortless look to the bouquet.

Wrapping Paper as Placemats

Our sturdy and matte decorative gift wrapping can also be utilized in dining settings, adding an extra layer of character to the table. Many customers use our small and medium sized wrapping paper as placemats while hosting their friends and family, offering an artistic touch to the dining experience.

Colourful Custom Envelopes

Perhaps one of the most creative ways of using wrapping paper is creating custom envelopes for invitations, thank-you notes, cards, and handwritten letters. We recommend using an existing envelope as a template and tracing its outline onto the back of the wrapping paper. Make sure that the key motifs of the collage are within the outline and start cutting along the edges with a pair of scissors. Fold the flaps inward, securing them with double-sided tape or a glue stick.
